Will the paint match my car’s existing paint?

Our PPG factory finishes incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized paints. We have made a major investment in the finest paint system available and constantly upgrade its technology and equipment to ensure that each vehicle’s paint matches. We take special pride in our ability to match factory finishes as the final step in the restoration process.

My insurance company said to get two estimates. Is that necessary?

No. You are only required to get one estimate. The damage report is a very important part of the repair process. It should list all the visible damaged items and specify whether it will be replaced or repaired and the associated cost to perform that operation. If someone else is paying (insurance or a third party) to have your damaged vehicle repaired, you are required by state law in California to get one estimate. If the paying party disputes the repair cost, it is their responsibility to secure a second or any additional quotes. As with any other major service you have performed, we recommend that you ask many questions and check with friends and family for referrals before deciding. Don’t let price be the only factor in your decision.

My insurance company is suggesting a certain body shop; do I have to go there?

An insurance company can only make a suggestion, but ultimately, it is YOUR choice of which body shop you would like to service your vehicle. It is illegal for an insurance company to tell you where to get an estimate or have your vehicle repaired.

Who do I pay my deductible to and when?

The deductible amount is determined by the policyholder at the time of the policy purchase. Most insurance deductibles are payable at the time of service to the service provider. Vehicle collision deductibles are usually paid to the repair center when you take delivery of your vehicle. If you are unsure of your deductible amount for an auto claim, you can contact your agent’s office for any information or look on your insurance card. It is always a good idea to check your deductible amounts before you need them. Different types of claims have different deductibles.

Do you have rental car service?

If you need a rental car, we can help you make the necessary arrangements. Insurance companies will only pay for a rental car if you have that option on your policy or if you are the claimant. Check your policy and/or call your insurance company to find out if you have rental coverage and what your specific limitations are. Enterprise Rent-A-Car® and Hertz® Rental Car are both located nearby to assist you.

What kind of warranty comes with your repairs?

We offer a Lifetime Warranty on paint and body repair as long as you own the vehicle.

How long will the repairs take to complete?

The amount of time to repair your vehicle is dependent on how much work needs to be done to the vehicle. For a better estimate about how long your repair will take, please ask one of our Romero’s Tri-Valley Auto Body team members when receiving your estimate or dropping your vehicle off for repair. In some cases repair can get delayed when the shop runs into additional damage or is waiting on the insurance company for more information. If this is the case, our associates will inform you of the additional time needed.
